remaining faithful in the process: Trusting the lord in messy middle

There is a quiet tension we often carry—the space between where we are and where we believe God is leading us. It is here, in the in-between, that faith is not just spoken, but lived.

We plant the seed. We water it. We tend to it with care.

And then… we wait. We spend a majority of our time at His feet . . . sitting . . .listening . . .trusting.

Waiting can feel like nothing is happening. But Scripture reminds us that God is always at work, even when we cannot see it.

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.” — 1 Corinthians 3:6

Faithfulness in the process means trusting that your role is obedience—not outcome.

You may be showing up daily, doing the small things no one else sees. You may be pouring into others, building something slowly, or healing in ways that feel invisible. And still, the fruit has not yet appeared.

But roots are forming.

God often does His deepest work beneath the surface—strengthening, anchoring, preparing. Just as a seed must break open before it can grow, there are seasons where things feel like they are falling apart, when in truth, they are being transformed.

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9

Due season means there is a timing. Not ours—but His.

So remain faithful.

Keep showing up. Keep trusting. Keep tending to what He has placed in your hands.

Because the same God who called you into this season is the One who will carry it through.

“The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me.” — Psalm 138:8

You are not behind. You are not forgotten. You are in process.

And that process, held in the hands of a faithful God, is leading to growth.

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the work You are doing in the unseen places of our lives. When we grow weary in the waiting, remind us that You are still moving, still shaping, still faithful.

Give us the strength to remain steady in the process—to trust You when we cannot yet see the outcome. Help us to be obedient in the small things, confident not in ourselves, but in You.

Root us deeply in Your truth. Grow in us patience, endurance, and unwavering faith. And in Your perfect timing, bring forth the fruit that only You can produce.

We surrender the process to You, knowing that You will fulfill every purpose You have placed within us.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
